Strict Alarm

Strict Alarm

An alarm you can't sleep through.

Strict Alarm is an alarm clock that makes you complete a short task — a mission such as solving math problems, scanning a code, or walking a number of steps — before the alarm stops. Snooze limits, a volume lock and an optional wake-up check help you get out of bed on time.

Common questions

My alarm did not ring. What should I check?

Open the App: if something can stop your alarms, a card at the top of the alarm list tells you what to fix. On Android, make sure notifications, alarms & reminders and full-screen notifications are allowed, and that battery optimisation is off for Strict Alarm (some phones — Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, Samsung — also need “autostart” allowed; the App shows the steps for your phone). On iOS, make sure Strict Alarm is allowed to schedule alarms — the card in the App opens the right setting. Use Test alarm in Settings to check.

I can't complete my mission. How do I stop the alarm?

After the alarm has rung for two minutes, an emergency exit appears on the alarm screen. It asks you to type out a long sentence (it is long on purpose), then stops the alarm.

Can I use my own song?

On Android you can pick an audio file from your device (Pro). On iOS, the system only allows sounds that ship inside the App, so you can choose from the built-in tones.

How do I cancel or manage my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by the store you bought from: Google Play subscriptions or your App Store subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.

I reinstalled the App or changed phones. How do I get Pro back?

Sign in to the same Google account or Apple ID you bought with and open the App; Pro is restored automatically. On iOS you can also tap Restore purchases in Settings. Purchases do not transfer between Android and iOS.
