Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Tomatick (“the App”) for Android and iOS is made by InnoxApps (“we”, “us”), Noida, India. This policy explains what information the App handles, why, and what choices you have. If you have a question, write to ava@innoxapps.com.
The short version
- There is no account and no sign-in. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Your sessions, focus history, tags and block lists stay on your device. They are not uploaded to us.
- We use Google Firebase to count how the App is used and to receive crash reports. It is configured not to collect your device's advertising identifier.
- No ads. We do not sell or share your information for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- Payments are handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store. We never see your card or payment details.
Information stored on your device
To work, the App keeps the following on your device only:
- your timer settings, tags and the optional “what are you working on” notes;
- your focus history (when each session ran, its length and tag) used for your statistics, streak and garden;
- your block lists. On iOS these are opaque tokens created by Apple's Screen Time — the App cannot see which apps or websites they stand for;
- the sound files you have downloaded and your preferences.
This information is not sent to us. Deleting the App deletes it. If your device's own backup is turned on, Android or iOS may include the App's data in that backup, which is handled by Google or Apple under their terms.
Permissions and what they are used for
| Permission | Why the App asks for it |
|---|---|
| Notifications | To tell you when a focus session or break ends, and to show the running timer. |
| Exact alarms (Android) | So that the end of every focus session and break is signalled on time. |
| Usage access (Android, only if you use blocking) | To notice, during a focus session only, when an app you chose to block comes to the foreground. This is checked on your device and is never stored or sent; analytics count blocks without recording which app was blocked. |
| Display over other apps (Android, only if you use blocking) | To show the “Focus time” screen over an app you chose to block. |
| App list (Android) | To show your installed apps so you can choose which ones to block or allow. The list stays on your device. |
| Screen Time (iOS, only if you use blocking) | To apply Apple's Screen Time restrictions to the apps and websites you choose, during focus sessions only. Apple does not tell the App which apps you chose or use, and nothing leaves your device. |
| Internet | To download focus sounds (see “Sound downloads”). |
Every permission is optional unless the feature that needs it is in use, and you can withdraw any of them at any time in your device's settings.
Sound downloads
Tomatick downloads its list of sounds and the sound files from our content server at
www.stayfocused.me, which InnoxApps operates. Like any web server, it receives your
device's IP address and basic request details (such as the time and the file requested). We use
these server logs only to deliver the files and to keep the service secure and working, and we do
not combine them with anything else. No account, name or identifier of yours is sent with these
requests. Sounds you have downloaded stay on your device and play without a connection.
Usage analytics and crash reports
We use two Google services, provided by Google LLC:
- Firebase Analytics records which screens and features are used (for example “focus session started” or “paywall shown”), together with your device model, operating-system version, app version, language, approximate country, and a random identifier that Firebase creates for this installation of the App. It does not receive your advertising identifier, your name, or which apps you block or use, or the notes you write.
- Firebase Crashlytics receives a report when the App crashes: the technical details of the crash, the device model and operating-system version, and a random installation identifier.
We use this only to understand which features help, to find and fix problems, and to measure whether upgrades to Pro are working. Google processes this data under the Firebase privacy and security terms and the Google Privacy Policy. Event-level analytics data is deleted automatically after the retention period set in our Google Analytics property (no longer than 14 months); aggregated reports may be kept longer. Reinstalling the App creates a new random identifier.
Purchases
Subscriptions, free trials and one-time purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. They share with the App only what it needs to unlock Pro — which product you bought and whether it is active — and the App checks this on your device. Your payment details stay with Google or Apple.
What we do not do
- We do not read the content of other apps, and we do not record which apps you use. On Android, usage access is used only while a focus session runs, only to decide whether to show the block screen.
- We do not access your contacts, location, photos, files or microphone.
- We do not show ads and do not use advertising or tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and international processing
All network requests the App makes use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Google's services and our content server may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States; where the law requires it, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, the UK, India or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to your data-protection authority. Because the App has no accounts, the data we receive is not linked to your name or email, so we may not be able to identify it as yours; the data stored on your device is under your control and is removed when you delete the App. To exercise a right or ask a question, write to ava@innoxapps.com. If you write to us, we use your email only to reply and keep the conversation only as long as needed to help you.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will also tell you in the App.
